Appealing: Five Stages in One Act
A lawyer is hit by a car and has a near-death experience at the gates of heaven/hell, which for some reason looks like the church she attended until she was 14.
We still have several parts to cast!
Email us at email@example.com if you want to apply.
The filming will be March 11th 2023, with rehearsals during the week leading up to that date.
Christine (lead): Female attorney, age 30-45.
Father (supporting): Male, 50+. This role involves looking like a prototypical “God the father” character (such as on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel). The look is important because this is based on the main character’s expectation of what God would look like. (Already cast)
Son (supporting): This role involves looking like a prototypical Jesus character. The look is important because this is based on the main character’s expectation of what Jesus would look like.
Guru (supporting): Male, 30+. A lot of possibility for variety here; think Zen master, Yogi, etc.
Note: The film deals with religious and philosophic themes. If you might be offended by this, please don’t apply.
Approximate rating: PG-13 (some off-color language)
Run time: Approximately 1 hour. The entire film takes place on one set (see rendering above).
